No New Posts COMMON HOUSING

To those not fortunate enough to live inside the Atlerion castle walls, clusters of shacks and 'middle-class' housing crowd the land closest to the wall (in hopes that they'd be safer the closer to the castle they live). The Commons is like the Atlerion people's own neighborhood, where no one is a stranger, and strangers soon become family (or foe).

No New Posts JACOBI'S DRAGON KEEP

Located in one of the oldest out of use mines in the Atlerion kingdom and just beyond the outside of the Atlerion castle wall one will find Jacobi's Dragon Keep. Only recently opened since the Atlerion people have only recently been allowed to have dragons, Jacobi is a man of pure intentions with the best interests of the dragons of others at heart. His dragon keep is one of the few out-of-kingdom keeps that's run like this.

No New Posts THE MARKET SQUARE

Generally home to the many festivals and fairs held in the Atlerion kingdom, the Market Square is rarely quiet and always bustling with life and business. Permanent shops here include clothes shops, electronic shops, and dragon supply shops. During fairs and festivals, movable tents are set up to house their business guests.

No New Posts FANIA MINES

The Fania Mine, discovered by one of Atlerion's least celebrated Queens, employs over ninety percent of the common population in Atlerion. The mine spans deep into the heart of the mountain where the rare gems are extracted from rich veins and brought out. At the front of the mine is where the lucky get to work, a c leaning and cutting station is set up for the freshly-mined gems to be cut and cleaned and ready for market or gift giving. Work starts at dawn and ends at dusk. The internal workings of the mine is like a labyrinth, and to those that don't know their way around, can become a death trap. Mothers warn adventurous sons and daughters of the dangers, but childhood requires exploration (though some do not return).

Board Description
THE ATLERION COMMONS
Outside the protective walls of the Atlerion castle, the poorer of the mountain kingdom must live in near-poverty while their monarchs and un-neighborly do-wells spread the wealth amongst themselves. Most of the peasants work in the mines, making the rich richer and the poor poorer. However, poverty has a hard time keeping the Atlerion people down, with annual and bi-annual fairs where the villagers trade with the neighboring kingdoms. Here, even the poor can find a meager wealth if they look hard enough.
